EES-Cambodia is formally launched
PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA—EES-Cambodia was formally introduced in a half-day launching workshop on February 25, 2016. The launch event featured a short talk on the application of Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services (In-VEST) tools for mapping and valuing ecosystem services. A breakout session was done during the event to facilitate the discussion of EES-Cambodia’s research prioritization, resource mobilization, and network building strategy.
The workshop was attended by about 30 participants, which included alumni of the Economy and Environment Program for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA Program) in Cambodia as well as representatives from the Society’s potential partners in future activities such as the German Development Bank, IUCN-Cambodia, MOE’s Department of Green Growth, Birdlife International, EU, WWF, Conservation International, and USAID.
